Fire & Ice is a leader in therapeutic massage offering continuing education to local massage therapists. I am driven by a desire to innovate the industry, providing a better and more effective massage for you.
Founded as a mobile massage service in 2015 by owner Ashley Dwyer (now Ashley Biro) and grew into a physical location that same year. After opening and closing a second location in 2017, we moved into a 2,400 square-foot, eight-room facility in 2018. It is here that we began our cutting-edge continuing education classes in April of 2019 with goals of improving the health and happiness of our clients, who often come to us with pain and limited motion, as well as the clients of all therapists who participate in the program. Fire & Ice Therapeutic Massage is the 4 time winner of Charlotte Media Groups Best of the Weeklies in Massage Therapy (2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.) In 2020, Ashley hosted a radio show, wrote the best seller Massage for Couples Book and was featured in Women's Health Magazine before shutting Fire & Ice Therapeutic Massage for COVID. In 2021, Ashley was nominated to be small business person of the year. In 2022, due to the effects of COVID, Ashley was forced to downsize to a smaller office, before moving to a home office after the birth of her second child.

I am passionate about doing my part to end the plague of human trafficking within the massage industry. In fall of 2019, I began offering Aromatherapy classes in conjunction with Simply Earth, a non-MLM essential oils company that donates 13% of profits to organizations that fight human trafficking as well as advocating locally with organizations like Lilypad.

ASHLEY BIRO (formerly Ashley Dwyer) is a licensed massage and bodywork therapist and certified holistic health practitioner based in Charlotte, North Carolina. She spends her days helping clients achieve relief and relaxation through her practice, Fire & Ice Holistic Health. Ashley is extensively trained in a variety of modalities, including Swedish, Deep Tissue, Neuromuscular Therapy, Orthopedic Massage, Prenatal Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, Aquatic Bodywork, Trigger Point Therapy, Active and Passive Release Stretching Techniques, Lymphatic Drainage, Oncology Massage, Myofascial Release, Myofascial Stretch Therapy, Cupping, MediCupping, Gua Sha, and Ayurvedic techniques such as Abhyanga and Shirodhara.

Ashley’s passion lies in working with clients suffering from migraines, lower back pain, sciatica, autoimmune disorders, cancer, and pain syndromes. She takes pride in helping them reduce pain and live healthier, less stressful lives.

When she’s not practicing massage therapy, Ashley is busy teaching and inspiring others. She develops courses and teaches continuing education classes for massage therapists through the Massage Innovation Network for Therapists. Ashley is also the author of an international best-selling book and two additional bestsellers.

In her free time, Ashley loves gardening, hiking—especially near waterfalls—and camping with her sons, Skyler and Wesley. She also enjoys traveling and spending quality time with their beloved cats and dog.

My practice now accepts insurance for massage therapy services. In order to best serve you, we must verify your insurance benefits prior to your arrival. Click on the link below to complete the online eligibility form. I will contact you as soon as the eligibility for benefits are established. Please plan to wait up to 2 to 4 weeks to receive insurance verification. In addition, you will also need a prescription from your doctor.
